He taught me all the Goju Ryu Kata and Bunkai. He was a student of Toguchi Sensei. Toguchi was a student of Higa Sensei. I returned to the US happy and satisfied. I have trained in Goju Kai Kata: Jun Do Kan Miyazato Eiichi; Miyagi Chojun Kata Bunkai; Shodo Higa Sensei Kata & Bunkai. I now know that Toguchi & Kuba Sensei's Kata and Bunkai are the traditional and original Kata and Bunkai.

I have traveled the world and I have dojos in many countries. Original and traditional Goju Ryu Karate-do and Kobudo is one of the loves in my life. This is why I have wasted time, money and energy. I have 2 Masters degrees in Technical Electricity and a  PhD in Transmission Line Power. I speak 7 languages. I now have an 8 Dan. My experience after 44 years of training and wasting much time, energy and money is that President O'Sensei Yoshio Kuba is teaching the real, original, traditional Goju Ryu Kata. If you study by these rules and regulations, you can compete in the WKF competitions. All the touch Kata follows the WKF rules. I believe that this the best and real Goju Ryu Honbu dojo in the world.
